NAMETAB ZORRO

"Rooney " is out again having his third race of his young life, an A3 at Thurles on Friday night. Drawn in Trap 4, he will need to exit the traps a bit better than his previous 2 races, as he cuts in very tight on the corners. He needs to learn the game, as he is a clumsy dog at present, and he needs to learn to avoid other dogs. I think this dog could be very good once he has learned the basics, but only time will tell. A very hot race, with the winner recording 28.88!!!!!. Rooney beaten into 3rd place by a neck, but he is still very green. Only 3 races run and going from an N2 to and A3 is a huge step up for a young pup, but we are confident he is going the right way. A trial at Shelbourne Park is scheduled shortly.

SEMI FINAL OF THE ONLY GREYHOUNDS N2 STAKE

This certainly will be an excellent semi final, and the heat of the night. It has the 4 fastest dogs of the first round in this heat. Rooney is drawn where he needs to be in Trap 3, but there is serious pace all around him. The main thing will be to qualify for next weeks final. Well, the luck deserted us last night, as he was stopped 3 times in running. Im looking forward to Rooney learning the game, and would hope to see him at Shelbourne Park in the not too distant future

NAMETAB ZORRO

"Rooney " is having his first ever race on Friday 9th May at Thurles. he is in my own Sponsored stake ONLYGREYHOUNDS.COM for N2 dogs, He has drawn Trap 1, which is a slight concern, as he is a middle runner, but thats what we go so we will hope for a bit of early pace from him to clear the first bend with no trouble. A little slow away from Trap 1, but by the first bend he was tight up on the rail, and when a gap appeared he was through it like a shot. He changed gears along the back straight, and again on the run in, to win by 7 lengths in the fastest time of the night of 29.28.

NAMETAB APACHE

"Jack" Oct 06 dog, is now over the Kennel Cough, and is a picture of health. He is never going to be a world beater, but he gives his best every time, is clean and quiet, never been injured, and I reared him from 4 months of age. Given regular racing, he will find more time. Little " Jack " will run at Perry Barr sales on Monday 19th May, but has already been sold to a Trainer at the track. I will follow his races, and still be able to look at him run on the BAGS meeting. Good luck little fellow, run well.
